TITLE: WEBSITE CONTENT/SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP
POSITION: Media Content Assistant
PLACE: New York State Public High School Athletic Association (Latham, NY)
SUPERVISOR: Joe Agostinelli, Media Content Coordinator
DEADLINES: Fall semester – August 12*
Spring semester – November 19*
Summer semester – April 1*
RENUMERATION: School credit only, travel expenses outside of Capital Region
Director’s responsibilities include: Website content management, Social Media (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter) oversight, souvenir badge program, photography, video editing
Intern responsibilities:
* Create and publish content on NYSPHSAA Website
* Maintain social media presence across various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
* Assist with the gathering of photography and videos for digital distribution
* Gather information for publication of tournament brackets each season
* Game management duties during State Tournament events including, but not limited to, stats, recaps, photos, and videos
* Promotion through social media of student-athletes, NYSPHSAA initiatives, and Championship/Regional Events
* Monitor high school sports-related topics and trends in digital media to relay information to our student-athletes, fans, and administrators
* Collect and post championship schedules results for sports information web site
* Observe and participate in committee meetings
* Records – researching, recording, archiving individual/team records
* Other duties related to Director’s responsibilities
Requirements:
- Must have experience or interest in athletics
- Must be detail oriented and meticulous
- Must be professional in all aspects of the job
- Must be willing to work hard and be punctual
